University of Toronto is consistently placed on the top 25 best universities in the world and many can see why that is the case. As of 2014, U of T maintains over 84,000 students across its three main campuses (Downtown Toronto, Mississauga, Scarborough). Likewise, the international student base accounts for 16% (13,000) of the student population which may seem small but when comparing to the total amount it is quite significant. This intern gives students the opportunity to learn new cultures, one aspect we see extremely valuable.

With University of Toronto having three spectacular campuses it is important to decided which one you like the most, so we the student coaches included a link describing every campus in significant detail. Moreover, U of T has an exception level of education that targets vast areas of study and delivers the student base with a substantial learning curve. In addition, with the huge reach of the school, studying abroad is a breeze and lets students select from a vast amount of options. This means that students that apply for exchange don’t have to compete for a dozen positions or schools, they have hundreds of universities to choose from.

Since U of T is one of Canada’s top Ranked universities it makes sense that they have a strong portfolio of programs and courses to offer to their students. The university has over 700 programs with six main faculties.

U of T maintains its top 25 university world ranking not only because of its sheer size but also due to its extremely competitive programs such as Rotman Commerce, Engineering and Life Science. In regards to the application process for Ontario students you should apply with OUAC 101 and for outside of the province student’s applications should be done through OUAC 105. Aside from the academics, U of T has 26 different varsity teams which vary from basketball to Nordic skiing. All varsity sport teams allow walk-on players, giving any student aspiring to join a varsity team a chance. Additionally, if you enjoy spectating more than playing, U of T provides free seats for all students and encourages everyone to come out and support their school teams.

In conclusion from the research that our team has conducted it is clear that U of T is an exceptional choice and one that is well worth a consideration. Aside from the top ranked programs the university offers, their three main campuses give students the choice to explore the Greater Toronto Area. Having such a choice is exceptionally unique and provides students with multiple alternatives by either living downtown Toronto or in a less dense area such as Mississauga. Furthermore, the Greater Toronto Area offers a unique level of cultural diversity and provides the student base with a safe environment to step their feet into and discover.
