Being a part of the 250 best universities in the world, Dalhousie University is commonly recognized for its exceptional education and extraordinary scenery. Currently Dalhousie maintains over 15,200 students which of 20% are international students. Moreover, the student to staff ratio is very low 14.9 students per staff member and the female to male ratio is evenly distributed at 55:45. Although these numbers may be boring, we believe that they are extremely essential to the exceptional lifestyle Dalhousie University provides for its students. However, Dalhousie maintains a lower population of students compared to UBC or U of T, but in turn gives the students a better sense of community that many larger schools do not have.

Dalhousie maintains three main campuses in the city of Halifax that are exceptionally beautiful. However due to the small size of Halifax each campus does not vary drastically in setting; each campus is as stunning as the next. With the amazing geography of Halifax, Nova Scotia it can be very difficult to not fall in love with the University. Aside from the campus, the educational level of Dalhousie is commonly known as being nothing but exceptional. With 12 faculties and 180 possible programs to choose from, Dalhousie is a school that doesn’t subject their students to having to submit themselves to restrictive studies.

With regards to the application process there are two steps to follow. Step 1) You must apply online through the Dalhousie portal and create an account, select your program and pay a 70$ fee for applying. Step 2) Send in your transcript directly from your school, college or university; or, you can send them directly to Dalhousie university if the document is in its original sealed envelope.
Aside from the academics, Dalhousie provides students with over 280 clubs and societies such as Dalhousie surfing society, DalDance, Dalhousie Tea Drinking Society and many more. Moreover, Dal offers up to 30 different sports clubs to choose from varying from rugby to cheer-leading, with more information can be found here.

In conclusion from the research that our team has conducted it is clear that Dalhousie University is an extraordinary school that offers a unique experience on the east coast of Canada. Aside from their renowned academic faculties & programs the school isn’t lacking in extra-curricular activities and provides students with a full university experience. Finally, attending Dalhousie is a phenomenal experience, consequence of the close-knit community of Halifax and their student base that provides long lasting memories and priceless friendships.
